Airfusion Backpack-able?

Is it possible to carry the airfusion like a backpack so that one can hike to a secluded lake?

My version of foot rest for AEC solo

Took the kayak on a solo setup and realize I need a foot rest. So this is my version of foot rest. Have not actually tested it yet because it's been raining. :( Basically I am reusing the twart as a front foot brace instead. I use two thick velcro strap (3ft x 2ft) that i got from home depot (2 in a...

Yet Another Maiden Voyage

Received our WM-AF2 kayak recently. On Sunday 8/16, me and my 9 y.o. took it to a local lake to launch it. Took me about 20 minutes to inflate and get the backbone installed. It was a hot day. So I think I did ok in 20 mins. Used my air mattress pump to fill it as much as it can then top off with th...

Hi Jeremy, Thanks. Glad I check first, good to know about the possible weak spot thingy. So if i stick the regular (non-sticker) type of velcro onto it using the patch kit adhesive, would that work? Or is the glue specific to patch material and vinyl. Another alternative idea I have is to sew a smal...

Sticky type new velcro

Is it safe to stick those sticky type velcro that we can get from homedepot to the vinyl (gray) floor? I'm thinking of sticking velcro on the backbone and the floor so that it doesn't move from the center postion when I inflate the convertible. Also in future maybe stick the fish sensor at the floor...

Is it safe to just stick some velcro onto the bottom of the boat and the backbone so that I can just velcro the backbone? That should hold it in place when inflating.

Re: Great Deal on AE Convertible

I noticed it twice that Amazon seems to list it at 418 only when they are out of stock, then once they have stock it goes back to 660.

I don't think you can order it if it's OOO thus the low price. Then again maybe you can. Just my observation.

West Marine 10% discount + free shipping on July 15 only.

Saw this today at West Marine (www.westmarine.com), and valid only for today. Looks like a good deal so I ordered the WM version of AE convertible Kayak ($450) and paddles. Only thing is the Kayak backordered. :( Hopefully WM ships it before Summer is over. Maybe it's good for the accessories you've...

couple of questions.

Is it sufficient to go with the inflatable without the backbone?

also is the Compact Touring Kayak Paddle works good with the convertible kayak?

Thanks.
