AE3001 deck bag

Hi Guys
I have just bought the AE3001 to allow us to carry bits on our advanced element convertible canoe.
I thought as it was a bag with 4 clips that it would fit on the 4 eyelets on the rear of the canoe!
It seems that I got this wrong or have the size of the eyelets changed between models?
The rapid up fits on the front d rings but the bag is currently surplus to requirements the clips are too small.
Can someone advise if there has been a change in spec?
