Loch Maree

Post by Big Malky » Mon Nov 04, 2013 1:17 pm

Had an interesting day exploring three islands on Loch Maree at the weekend. Not much wildlife in evidence, they must have known what was coming! By lunchtime squalls were shooting down the loch from the east end and snow on Slioch. The AE convertible handled it no problem. Will post photos if I can figure out how to transfer from my iPad.
Will probably head back next spring to look into the other 63 islands but will get in touch with Scottish Natural Heritage in order not to disturb any breeding birds.

Sounds great! Will look for your pictures.
And thank you for trying not to disturb nesting/breeding birds. We're the versatile animals, and we can have fun in so many places... it's really up to us to protect birds that can nest only in certain places.
