Opening a Season

Post by borisf » Wed Apr 14, 2010 10:42 am

Hi everybody!
I proud to announce that I opened Inflatable Kayak Season in Ontario on April 3. It's unusually early for us (unlike Singapore or Dominican Rep etc).
You can find a short report in my blogs at : http://yaktraveller.blogspot.com/2010/0 ... -open.html and/or http://www.outdoorsica.com/blogs/2010_s ... ttle_lake/

It would be nice if other Forum members share your first trip of the Season.

Yay Boris!
Glad your season has opened, melting ice and all.Kayaking is year round, here on Vancouver Island. I've been taking out my Dragonfly (older version of the Lagoon) all winter. But tomorrow will be my first trip of the season using my StraitEdge2. The bow paddler will be my friend Marlene, who has some mobility issues. We'll put some photos on our paddle group's website, kayakyak.blogspot.com -- I bet John will have some photos ready on Monday.

Hi Boris,

Well just back from a week away and I went for two trips on the Hunte and Aue in Germany. No ice for me, well only on the window of my car when I went away, but in no time I got really good weather :-)

All together I did 45KM (about 28 Miles) of paddling so I guess the season has started.

I hope to publish the stories on my blog this week.

Two more trips end of April, beginning May!
Bottle (Lake) uncorked! And then the new AE Rapid Up Sail tested on the Indian River near Warsaw (Ontario, not Poland).
