WANTED: Used AdvancedFrame (solo) kayak

Post by ssp2001jd » Tue Aug 09, 2011 11:18 pm

I am looking for a used AdvancedFrame solo kayak in good condition, and am willing to spend approximately $200, depending on shipping charges (I live in Western Washington). Ideally, I would also like to purchase any or all of the following: 4-piece paddle, PFD, bilge pump, foot pump, and spray skirt. Thank you!

Check out airkayaks.com for their used and demo boats. They currently have an AdvancedFrame listed http://www.airkayaks.com/products/Demo- ... D1933.html
Also, check out West Marine stores in your area, that might be carrying their color version of the Lagoon.

Thanks, PJohanson! I can't seem to find any info on the West Marine version of the AdvancedFrame; does anyone know what (if any) differences there are? West Marine's website says that the major difference is that "this kayak is a cross between the AE1017 Sport and the AE1012 AdvancedFrame" - unfortunately, I have no idea what this actually means...

The only difference is that the Westmarine version is Green and has a zip on deck conversion. The are identical besides that feature.

Thank you, rsimpson! I like the fact that the AE AdvancedFrame zips open, as it is otherwise a bit tight for me to get into once I adjust the seat forward (I am 5'2"). But I guess this gives me an excuse to go visit a West Marine store near me this weekend to check it out! :D Thanks!
