Sitting & Kneeling for someone 6'1"

Post by RiverRat » Sun Feb 20, 2011 4:42 pm

How would the 1 person straightedge be for someone 6'1" (150 lb) to sit with legs straight out?

Is there an ability to add a cushion seat?

and how is this kayak for kneeling?

I figure that more varieties of sitting will strengthen, as opposed to wear out, my comfort and how long I can paddle.

Also, how would a canoe paddle work with this? I like the more casual feel of a single paddle.

Oh, and... is there any ability to add a skeg, aftermarket or DIY?

If the seat is as far back as you can get it, then you can sit with your legs straight out. I am 6'2" and can do it.
You are already sitting up fairly high since it is a sit on top but if you wanted to add more of a cushion seat, you would need to add velcro to the bottom to attach it to the velcro strips on the kayak. The buckles would need to be rigged with zip ties or something to attach it to the buckle clips.
It is stable enough to kneel but that is your personal choice
Again, a single canoe paddle would be personal choice but the width of the kayak makes it difficult to use a single paddle.
You can add aftermarket skegs that would need to be glued on. Check Amazon or NRS.
