Kayaksailor on AE Convertibe

Hi, I'm Freddie, I'm new to this forum. I've got an AE conv and I've just ordered a Kayaksailor kit, 1.4 sqm. Does anybody have experience with this combination? Do I have to stick some D ring patches to the hull?

Hi Freddie, welcome to the forum!
I haven't tried any sails, and would be interested in hearing how yours works with the Convertible.
The only "sail" I've tried was a golfing umbrella. Sure, it was large, but with no attachments to the boat it just swivelled in my hand. :roll:

kayaksailor on AE 1007 works perfect

Hi, I've got my kayaksailor kit now and I fitted it to my AE 1007. It works perfect, as a single or a double. I've attached 4 d rings to the hull, 2 for each position. The sailkit just matches the size of the foredeck! Its fun, you can really sail upwind! Freddie

I know this post is like a year old, but I was looking on kayaksailer the other day.

Do you have any pictures of your sailing rig? I've got an expedition and have been interested in a sailing kit for it
