Hello, I own the west marine marketed version ae 1. What I would like to know is has anyone experience with this new bar that mounts under the floor from front to rear changing the keel shape. Does it make a difference?
I live in Alabama and just love it. Just don't really dare to take it into whitewater. I do the Chattahoochee, which is smooth going with gators being my biggest concern.
does someone have some whitewater experience?

whitewater
The only time I took my Dragonfly into class 1 rapids it was a hoot. There has to be enough water to let the skeg not get caught on rocks. Banging rocks didn't even scratch the hull, but I was careful anyway.
I would recommend anyone doing any whitewater at all should follow all safety rules, of course. A helmet is used by playboaters, for example.
