Rapid Up Sail storage

Post by Just George » Mon Oct 28, 2013 10:40 am

I need some HELP! How the heck do you refold the sail into 3-loops to put it back into the bag?

Thanks.

What size bag is it? We have the original size which is smaller than the current size. The current model, you just bring in the sides and overlap them to get the shape needed. With the older version, here is a video which can be found under the support section on our website. Instructions are also in the manual that came with the sail.

If the video doesn't make it clear to you, ask a professional photographer how to refold the sail. It folds up just like the big white reflectors that pro photographers use.

This post is old, so I guess it refers to AE2040. But mine is the latest AE2030. Are they any different in the way they fold? I ask this because I can't fold it like in the video. To do that, I have to force a lot to the point of almost damaging the sail.

For the recent version, please fold as the manual states. It is no longer a tri-fold but is a bi-fold. If you try to tri-fold, it will work but it isn't the intended fold.

JCooley, it would be great if AE made a tutorial video on how to fold the latest model...

Thank you for the suggestion. We will certainly work on getting a current instructional video put together and up on YouTube.

Thanks, Jeremy!

I'm looking forward to... I'm sure this will be one of those cases where "a picture is worth a thousands words".
